Isabelle began her karate training in 2010 at the North Vancouver Shidokan (NVS) Karate Club under Sensei Michael Doherty until she moved to Kelowna in 2024.
She also has prior training in kobudo, as well as ballet and modern dance. In her professional life, Isabelle is a Compliance and Risk Management professional, as well as a leadership and organizational coach.

Brett Eaton Instructor
- JKA 2nd degree black belt

- Teaching karate since 2021, spearheaded the development of junior students at North Vancouver Shidokan Dojo (2021-2024)
Brett has also trained in Kobudo and Muay Thai. A UBC professor for 20 years, Brett now works as a Principal Geoscientist with BGC Engineering. In addition to being a dedicated karateka, he is also an avid long distance runner and mountain biker.
